Charity completes first year
Thanks to the the efforts and co-operation of the participating charities which merged into the WLFC and the many Freemasons who have given so much of their time to help others, the charity successfully completed its first year of operation on 31 March 2009.

Thank you to everyone involved.

Gift Aid
The three year concession on Gift Aid will allow us to continue to enjoy the 28.2% uplift in the value of qualifying donations up to April 2011. The reduction in the lower rate of tax from 22% to 20% previously announced would otherwise have reduced the Gift Aid benefit to 25%.

Want to join us?
The charity is keen to build its team in Liverpool. If you are a Freemason and can devote a day a week helping us to run the charity send us an email. Click here.

We'd love to hear from you.

Our charity helps Freemasons of the Province of West Lancashire and their dependants in financial difficulty. We can also provide support for non-Freemasons in certain cases and for a variety of charitable purposes. Unfortunately we can't help in all cases but every application whether from an individual or a group of people wanting financial help will always be carefully considered.

Freemasons in our Province are donating money for the Masonic Samaritan Fund. To learn more about this fund click here.

Seeking help when you are in need can be embarassing and stressful but the Care System run by Freemasons in the Province is able to help many people in a sympathetic and caring way and the beneficiaries will be guided through the simple process. If you qualify for assistance payment will be made swiftly and discretely.

If you are or have been a Freemason or are a widow, child or dependant of a Freemason and are in need of financial assistance, our charity may be able to help. You can start the process either by contacting the Almoner of the lodge, someone you know who is a Freemason or by contacting the charity direct. Our contact details are on this website.

We believe that Masonry has a valuable role to play in the community and we have been pleased to provide substantial funding over many years to help a wide variety of projects. We don't top up bank balances but we are willing to consider grants for practical projects. Contact can either be through local Masons or direct to the charity.
